Gauvain PARIS
We were born to preserve the traditional Breton Shirt making process. Discovering that many of these garments are now produced outside the region gave us the perfect opportunity to create Gauvain.
It began as a garment that protected fishermen from the cold at sea, then became the official uniform of the French navy, and today it remains a wardrobe essential.
We dedicate a portion of our sales to the conservation of seabirds like the puffin, a bird that not only represents Brittany but is also a fundamental part of our identity.

ARTISANS
Our artisans trace the patterns by hand, ensuring that the lines remain perfectly continuous without ever distorting the fabric. They then perform three manual cuts — the front and back body, the sleeves, and the collar — to guarantee a flawless finish.
Before assembly, each piece is inspected again to ensure that the stripes are perfectly aligned.

Our headquarters is located in Paris, in the heart of a magnificent historic building. We also operate two strategically located warehouses: one in France, where we receive the marinières directly from our workshops, and the other in Mexico, ready to ship them worldwide.
